During these hot summer days, there is definitely no better way for complete refreshment, rather than the taste of Ice Cream. It`s the most sweet and delicious option we can choose.Prepare yourself for one new type of flavor that will surely embellish your day.
Today we bring you a fine recipe of how to prepare yourself a mint ice cream which then can be used in some fruit shake, chocolate dessert or along some fruit salad in the evening.
The recipe for this sweet icy delicacy is the following:
- 1l Milk
- 8 Egg Yolks
- 400g Sugar
- 4dl (1 and a half cup) Sweet Cream
- Vanilla Sugar
- 100g Chocolate
- 1 and a half cup of Fresh Mint leaves
It is quite necessary to briefly boil the already rinsed leaves of mint in the milk and leave them stand like that for about 1 hour so they cool down. Strain the cooled milk and then mash the mint leaves, trying to get from them as much juice as possible. If you want, you can leave one part of the leaves in the milk.
Bring back the milk in which the mint was boiled to the oven and leave it until it starts to boil again, then add the egg yolks, the sugar and the vanilla. Stir well until you get a thick and creamy consistency.
Finally, in the milk and egg yolks, add the sweet cream and let it cool down. Optionally add some green food color, and then leave the ice cream in the freezer for about 3-4 hours.
After a few hours pour the whole ice cream in a plastic container, grate the chocolate and blend with a mixer until the mixture gets larger in volume.
Put back the ice cream in the container in which was previously cooled and let it stand overnight.
