A research made by Wheeling Jesuit University included volunteers to whom was given to smell the scent of mint every 2 hours for 5 days.
At the end of the study they felt significantly less hunger, and during the five days period, they`ve intake 3,500 calories less than usual.
Several previous studies have also shown that athletes who smell the scent of menthol were more motivated and had more energy.
