If your recipe requires baking soda, and you have only baking powder, there is a
solution. You need to add even 2-3 times more baking powder to be able to gain the same effect.
However, it may happen that your food get a strong smell of baking powder.

How to use baking soda instead of baking powder

This replacement requires an increase of the amount of acid components to activate baking soda. Since the baking soda is about three times stronger than the baking powder, you have to take into account this relationship and use quite a bit of baking soda.

Regarding the relations with the acidic ingredients, you will need one teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice against half teaspoon of baking soda.
