Boza, this natural multi vitamin bomb, is one of the most familiar oriental drinks, old more than a thousand years. Once served among the many cultures around the world and today very rare, brought at the edge of its disappearance.
Unlike the unhealthy carbonated drinks packed with toxic ingredients, constantly consumed by our children, the Boza is a natural, healthy and very nutritious drink full of vitamins.
It contains large amounts of vitamins B (B1, B2, B3, B6 and B12), vitamin A and E, iron and is regarded as a drink that fills the body with strength and energy.
The Boza contains many beneficial bacteria, especially good for athletes, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
The recipe for Boza is very simple so anyone can prepare it at their home without any problem.
Ingredients:
- 5 liters of water
- 1 kg sugar
- 600 g non sowing cornstarch
- 30 g yeast
Preparation:
Pour the corn flour with the 5 liters of hot water and let stand one day. The next day boil it for 2 hours with occasional stirring. When cooled, add the yeast, so that you previously stirred it in small amount of water and then leave it to rise. Mix well and leave to stand overnight.
The next day, strain and add sugar. Mix until the sugar melts.
Because of the relatively large content of yeast, the Boza can’t keep sweet taste for long as it comes to fermentation and converting of the mixture of yeast and sugar into alcohol, after which it loses its flavor and properties.
Therefore, this drink is obliged to be kept in the refrigerator and prepare enough amount so that you can spend for a relatively short time.
Due to its refreshing taste, the Boza should be drunk well chilled, but without an addition of ice.

1kg of sugar is not healthy at all. sugar is treated with chemicals that are carcinogenics . Yeast and cornstarch creates mucus in the stomach and in the bowel, also corn is genetically modified specially in USA. So where are the vitamins in this recipes ?
Yes indeed. But taking the fact that the recipe is made from totally natural ingredients, everything makes sense. Btw this is sort of a refreshment drink/smoothie. It is not intended to be used often. One up to two glasses weekly would be totally enough. Just do a research about it and you will find out what others are saying.
I would really want you to try and make it and then come back here and share the experience.
Thank you for the reply Manuela and take care. 🙂
Boza is extremely healthy drink that gives strength and increases size of breast.
It’s certainly better than those “diet”, “light” and other shitty soft drinks.
Of course it’s always good to have different opinions so thank you for your reply and take care!
