Restless leg Syndrome – The Mysterious Disease
The “restless leg syndrome” is neurological disease for which it`s claimed that it is the most commonly among all unknown diseases. Those for we have never heard.
The weight of the disease is variable, and it is believed that about 3% of adults who attend their doctor, have this symptom. 0.5% children at age from 8 to 11 years and every one from 100 adolescents aged from 12 to 17 years suffers from this disease.
The disease is characterized by the need to wiggle the legs and the feeling of discomfort as stinging, chillness and warmness with tickling feeling. The reason for the occurrence of this disease is still unknown.
It is believed that hereditary factors play a major role, and the studies have showed that 40 to 90 % of people with RLS syndrome, had relatives with similar problems.
This symptom can also be an indicator of other diseases such as anemia, deficiency of vitamin B12, low levels of folic acid and magnesium.
